COBRA Service
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) is an Employer law that generally requires group health plans sponsored by employers with 20 or more employees in the prior year offer employees and their families the opportunity for a temporary extension of coverage in certain instances where coverage under the plan would otherwise end. This is to be provided on all health plans (Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision) and there are strict timelines for all of the required processes and notices.
Securus Third Party Administrators can provide the following services to assist with your plan's COBRA obligations:
- Sending initial notices to subsequent enrollees
- Sending election forms to qualified beneficiaries
- Coordinating enrollment, coverage and eligibility
- Collecting premium payments
- Sending all required notices throughout the COBRA election and qualification period
